Andrew Wakefield to make arse of himself by trying to sue Brian Deer, BMJ, Fiona Godlee

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!!!

To be fair, I've been wondering why if, as Wakefield and the antivax loons at AoA claim, Brian Deer's articles a year ago are demonstrably false, Wakefield didn't sue immediately. After all, such allegations could do irreparable damage to his reputation (which was already shot to shit).

A pdf of the complaint can be found here.

One wonders (among other things):

  • Why Age of Autism hasn't mentioned it yet
  • Why the accusation of libel hasn't been made in the UK
As ever, Orac has a far more comprehensive summary.

I see that for some reason, John C Stone has been ranting about "Hacked Off" and the recent Levenson inquiry over on Age of Assholes uberconspiracy forum.

That's right John... Murdoch bad, so Wakefield not guilty. There aren't even 60 degrees of seperation here, never mind 6.

Like they say John, if I wanted to hear from an asshole, I would have farted.

I'm keeping a list of responses at Wakefield's Latest Legal Action: A Roundup. I think it is curious that the Wakefield faithful have been silent.

Thanks Liz. :-)

It's also interesting that as with Age of Arseholery, there's no mention of this at JABS, or the amusingly named "ChildHealthSafety" - John C Stone's other favoured hangouts past and present.

I think John Stones obsessive-compulsive behaviour over at AoA will backfire.

I doubt that most Americans who might log on to find help for their autistic child will be enamoured by the takeover of the website by the antivaccine, antiDeer, proWakefield fuckwittery that he is spamming out.

Maybe that's what they misguidedly want? For AoA to turn into another JABS-type propaganda outlet?
